Workshop: Introduction to Javascript

The following weeks will be devoted to the learning of Javascript. All experience levels are welcome.

10:00 Introduction speech & making of small groups. You will be given a sticker to write your first name and your level. This will help us to form balanced groups composed of beginners, intermediate and advanced members.

10:30 Let's practice coding!

12:30 Conclusion of the event. We will ask you to paste your code on codepen.io (http://codepen.io/) and post the link in the comments section of this event.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

We will go through Codecademy's Javascript course.

Prior to this event, I will ask you to follow the section called Introduction to Javascript => http://www.codecademy.com/en/tracks/javascript

You don't need to go any further (we will study JS functions at the next session).

If there is something in particular that you did not understand, feel free to ask a more advanced member!

If you followed the lesson and did the exercises without any difficulty, try to go further by having a look at the documentation (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript) or doing more exercises or help other members.

This session will be a great opportunity for more advanced members to refresh and consolidate their skills and share their knowledge.
