Web Interfaces with Personality, Free Dinner, & New Social Media Laws

Learn the latest tools in creating personable web interfaces, while having dinner, networking, and gaining business opportunities. Our main presenter Tulsi Dharmarajan is Senior Product Manager in charge of User Interface at Allegiance.com

Tulsi will demonstrate, using several wireframe tools, how to create web applications that have personality, that are friendly and approachable, and will explain how wireframe tools communicate interface designs. Second presenter Aly Dossa will elaborate on changing laws affecting social media designs.

This is a multi-Meetup event drawing from Houston designers, developers, marketers, technologists, and prospective customers, so you may find learning as well as business opportunities. Good designers, meet web developers searching for front-end help. Developers, Tulsi will show basic web usability design principles. Marketers, plenty of meeting opportunities here. Come learn, network, gain business, eat, and have a great time!

Thank you, Osha-Liang, Houston’s top intellectual property law firm, and Aly Dossa, Partner and our host, for providing us dinner and a terrific meeting space.

Park free on nearby streets, which is where I’m parking and I believe are safe. Enter the building by the after-hours entrance with the buzzer, located at McKinney and Fannin, in front of Bank of America. Ascend the elevator to P1 level, then lobby, then 35th floor.

If you prefer garage parking, $4 at Two Houston Center’s garage ($18 for lost tickets). Garage parkers will ascend to P1 or P2, depending on parking location. P2 parkers need to take escalators down to lobby.

We’d appreciate any photographers. Photos can be labeled with your firm’s name and posted online.

    Hello everyone,
Thanks for attending yesterday! I hope you enjoyed the presentation and found the content useful.
The presentation is now available online: http://www.slideshare.net/tulsid/web-applications-with-personality
Sincere apologies for the folks who joined via webinar. It was not possible for me to tweak the audio any more and was difficult managing the webinar and the doing the presentation.
Next time will plan for another organizer so we can manage things better.

Having dinner available was wonderful! It meant I didn't have to grab something on the way over after work. Thank you to the sponsors!
Both presentations were good, but both were cut short due to time constraints. It felt like we had 2 meetings' worth of topics in just one meeting. I could have benefited from more from each speaker.
I hope the presentations will be available so I can follow some of the suggested resource URLs.

Very informative presentations from both speakers. Based on speaker 2 presentation I would like to see a step by step presentaion on how to create a wireframe for a web design project. I am a little confused how to go about it.

I found the information offered by both users at this meetup particularly useful to me. This was my first meetup with the group; I'm sure it won't be my last.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
