International Food on the Charles River!

Hi all,

I am excited to announce the next Boston Young International Professionals MeetUp Event!

As we all know, one of the things that distinguishes a culture from another is...FOOD.

Yes...we now live in Boston, we are international and cosmopolitan human beings, we like eating and trying different kinds of food, BUT, many of us grew up since young age eating mostly food from our own culture. Why not share a piece of that with everyone else?

Everyone will bring some typical food/drink from their culture, and we will all get to try something from a different part of the world.

This could be ANYTHING: Some food you prepared, a piece of cheese from your country, a typical drink of your country, a soup, a sauce, a full meal, a snack...anything. Feel free to bring anything you want, as long as it is somehow connected to your culture. Don't feel like you have to necessarily prepare a giant meal. While you are absolutely welcome to do that, bringing a piece of something is still ok. Remember, the point is sharing with people of different backgrounds/cultures, and of course have fun together.

We will meet at 1pm outside the Green Line Stop Hynes Convention Center. We will wait for about 15 minutes for everyone to join, and then walk to one of the docks on the Charles River. This is about a 10-15 minutes walk from the T stop.

Once we get there, we will uncover what we brought, and start enjoying food/drinks from different parts of the world.

If you really cannot bring anything, if you are originally from Mars and there is no food/water there, if your kitchen exploded and all is left are ashes...well, you are still welcome to come and have fun. While I would rather for everyone to bring something, I would not want some people to not come because for some reasons they couldn't bring anything.

Lastly, we will certainly spend a few hours there, but if you cannot make it at 1pm and plan to come later, feel free to contact me via email or phone, and we will tell you exactly in which direction to walk to reach our spot.

I look forward to sharing and trying some amazing things from all over!
