What: White Water Rafting, Camping, and More!! Oh Yea!!
Where: The Ocoee River near Chattanooga, TN. See this link for directions to the OAR site. http://raft.com/dirctions.htm
Rafting Specifics: We will be doing a full-day river run, starting at 8am. We need to arrive at the launch site at 7:30 am. "A full day of rafting! This six-hour trip will give you all you can handle. You get to experience two sections of some of the finest white water in the nation. We start on the Upper River and get warmed up with heavy hits at Mikey's and Edge of the World. Then come the big boys: The Olympic section which includes rapids like Humongous and Godzilla. Just when you think you're not going to make it out of the Gorge, we stop and refuel your body with a delicious brunch (sandwich, chips, fruit salad, drinks and dessert). Feeling better, we jump back on the Middle River for 5 more miles of continuous whitewater. By the time you get back to the outpost you'll be ready to collapse! Sounds like fun, doesn't it!?!?" For more info, check their full site out at http://raft.com/.
Whitewater Rafting Cost: $71.00 per person. This is for Sunday only. The Saturday trip is additional. (See that Meetup.)
You must Confirm and Pay By July 1st! I (Lisa) have money on the line here, guys, so I don't want to lose it. And, you will want to know which price range we will be in, so it makes sense for us to get the trip participants firmed up early. Also, please note you will have to sign a liability waiver prior to rafting.
Kids are welcome. They have to be 12 years or older to raft. O.A.R.'s rules, not ours.
Please do not pay until you are sure you are going! There will be No Refunds.
Please Note: Wet Dog is only facilitating this trip. We are not serving as guides, just as fellow travelers. We are not liable or responsible for anything that might happen to you, your guests, and/or your property. OAR is the guide, and you will have to sign a liability waiver for them before getting on the water.
The Wet Dog hosts are going to do what we can to make sure everybody has a great time, but your help, input and smiles all will be needed in the hot July sun! :-)
Note - we suggest you buy food up there to have less to transport/worry about, but it's up to you. :-) The cost of the trip and cabins does not include any food.
