Introducing the Indie Film Intimate Night (IFIN)
Presenting The Conversation (1974)
You are invited to join a unique gathering for viewing unique films. This will be an in-home experience with a limited invitation list. The goal is to enjoy a single group discussion after watching the movie. Bring your inner film geek and join us for The Conversation.
These gatherings will evolve according to the knowledge &/or enthusiasm of attendees. We will start with a movie that ignites discussion not only because of its subject matter but also because of a technical aspect of movie making. With your help and enthusiasm, we expect the selections to be meaty enough to remain interesting after multiple viewings so attendees can (if desired) preview them before the event and have all the more to discuss after a second viewing.
Here's a short description from imdb.com of The Conversation: A paranoid and personally-secretive surveillance expert has a crisis of conscience when he suspects that a couple he is spying on will be murdered.

The technical aspect it highlights is sound.
A more detailed description of The Conversation can be viewed here: http://www.blockbuster.com/browse/catalog/movieDetails/7028
And its award resume here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071360/awards?ref_=tt_awd
The front door will open at 7p. Please feel free to bring anything from snacks for sharing to an entire meal for yourself (like if you don't have time to eat dinner & have to stop for take out). Also bring whatever you want to drink too (and be sure to bring it chilled if you want it that way--there will be little or no ice available).
The movie will start once all attendees are gathered, preferably by 7:30p, but as late as 8p. (Please note that being a "No Show" will cause a great inconvenience to other attendees)
Release of Liability:
By attending this event you are agreeing to be responsible for your own actions, and you are agreeing that you won't hold the hosts or the group organizers liable for neglect if harm comes to you due to the actions of another person.
