This group is for widows/ers who have lost their spouse or significant other. We help each other to cope with our loss just through being there and getting out together. We will schedule events either as a single group event or in coordination with another social group. The focus of this group is to learn to socialize again and learn to move on. Many of our members also belong to social groups on meetup and have learned that it easier to move on when you can do so with others that are in the same boat as you are. You can learn to have fun again by just coming out and meeting some of us. It's not easy but if we do it together it helps. We are a very open group with people suffering new losses to veterans of 10+ years. We are here for each other...as life goes on. There are no age limitations on this group and currently we range in the 30s through 60s. Our event Calendar may be viewed once you join.

This is not a dating group nor is it a structured support group. We schedule events from bowling to dinners to movies to art strolls to game nights etc.  Everyone in the group is open to suggest an event that interests them and get others to join in.  We suggest that you give it a try and if it's not your "cup of tea' you are free to leave the group.  No pressure. There's also no pressure to attend events. You can join and then come to a meetup event whenever you feel you are ready. Or bring a friend to your first event if you feel more comfortable doing so.
