GraphPUB Chicago - GOTO Chicago Edition!

  • May 21, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Graph databases are getting a lot of new attention in the DBMS industry’s drive for NoSQL, Big Data (the new techy hotness) and data science. Early adopters are very excited about the future of GraphDBs and are lucky to be on the frontier of the next generation of data management systems. We want to spread the word and make this the biggest thing since sliced bread.

So here’s the idea: we want to get all local graphistas together for a fun and exciting evening of graphs - and beer. The concept is that of a Knowledge Café, where we have a bunch of tables in a nice venue and lightning talks every 15 minutes to spice up the conversations. We're hosting it at ZED451 so we can also benefit from some beer tastings as well :) …

What could YOU do for this event? Well, we have a couple of ideas! - you could come! Everyone is welcome, provided that they register beforehand. - you could host a knowledge table, to discuss and explain to other people what you have been doing with graphs - you could do a lightning talk - no more than 5 minutes, 5 slides! Write a comment below with the title of your talk. - you could - and this is the important part - bring your friends and colleagues. If you do, we will have a nice little something for you to remember the night by - just as a token of appreciation.

Let us know if you have any other ideas - would love to have you there!
