Maple Tree is not able to meet our requirement so we are back to Okitchen Kwanghwa-Moon per original plan. This is pretty much copy of the most successful Mid Summer event and here are the details.
Six course consists three appetizers as follows: 1. Sea weed prepared with organic egg, 2. Tapenade (Tuscan slow food prepared with olive and anchovy), 3.Panna cooked with cream and sugar over cotta ham and buckwheat. This is also a slow food origin in Med region.
Sorbet of the day as third, then the main entree of imported roast beef as fourth, assorted desert as fifth and the coffee or tea as finale.
Note on Wine:
Made from single variety of Muscat grown and harvested in Anseong, Korea, consists four variations, ie., white, red, Sherry and Port. All these variations are handcrafted organically so you will find these wines resembles very expensive old vintage wine like well known French Burgundian sells several hundred per label. Some may find not so entertaining if you expect young Bordeaux labels. So you are not tasting the French wine but a local one for your ever lasting Korean wine experience.
There is no mechanical formula for this terminology. What it means is that you think of wine as vinegar when you cook. Ancient time, wine was a form of vinegar and it was only to enjoy the eating experience by having the wine to balance your meal while they are in your mouth. Experts are saying that light entrees like fish and poultry are well paired with white while red meats are for red wine. White has a lot of acidity but no tart (tannin) so it killed fish orders well. Other hand, red has a lot of tannin and it complements the meat entry such as lamb real well. Being a connoisseur, your taste bud habit will be developed over the time by pairing like you are about to do tonight.
As dinner goes on, your palate demands more of tartiness and alcohol so there you move on to variation like Sherry which as high alcohol content, not to mention Port. Enjoy!

You will confront a new office building or two call THE K-TWIN TOWER on your left. Okitchen is in the basement. Only open for 4 months and has very modern deco with private corner for the event.
