Photography is generally allowed throughout the museum, with a few exceptions.
Subway directions A, B, C, D, 1 - to Columbus Circle at 59th Street N, R, Q - to 57th Street and 7th Avenue.
Museum of Arts and Design (http://wirednewyork.com/museums/museum-arts-design/) moved into its new home at 2 Columbus Circle in 2008. The building was designed in 1965 by Edward Durell Stone as Huntington Hartford's Gallery of Modern Art for the American Craft Museum, and the facade reclad in a scrim of bright terra cotta in 2008.
