I hope that all Wired NY and ArtForward members stayed safe and sound during SuperStorm Sandy. Since we all need a distraction, or two, I've scheduled this event.
We'll walk (and/or crawl) from gallery to gallery and discover unique projects, performances, video, paintings, sculpture, and whatnot in Brooklyn’s original gallery district. All Williamsburg Gallery Association member galleries will be open late, many until 9pm, with several open until 10pm.
The member galleries who have participated in the past are: Art101, Causey Contemporary, Figureworks, Front Room, Gitana Rosa, Parker’s Box, Pierogi, P339, Skink Ink Editions, T.A.P.S. Gallery, The Boiler, Ventana 244, etc.
We will make it to as many as possible, and we will have heat, running water, and electricity, or else!
You may text me at (989)[masked], if you get lost. As of Wednesday evening, there's still no L-train. If you need to take a train to Wburg, the J and M trains go to Marcy Ave. That's not far from Gitana Rosa. The G train is running again, you can take that to Grand/ Metropolitan stop.
