Valerian: my cats love it too! Rosemary: the smell is divine. Lavender: so many uses.
Not sure, perhaps since age 11. I tried different mystical traditions including Sufism, Gnosticism & Spiritualism. The Craft has been by far the best fit as to who I am. Hail Hecate!
A sad dark time for mankind. Did we learn from it? What "witch hunts" do we still engage in? Was it really about "witches" at all? Or was that an excuse to divide, to conquer & to eliminate those with a dissenting voice?
We need to be mindful of how we treat Her. Leave Her in better condition than we find Her when we are enjoying Her beauty. Encourage others to be better environmentalists. Go beyond reuse, reduce, recycle.
Most of my ancestors have been in the New World since the 1600s. But I expect it was not necessarily for religious reasons. I just don't know. At my grandmother's death bed she asked me if I believed in Heaven. I told her I didn't know, but I would find out. She was a seeker in her life & I've been set on the spiritual quest ever since.
Merry Meet! I've been a practicing witch since 1993, an initiate in the New Albion tradition & regularly attend South Bay Circles. I left the Bay Area for about 15 years. Currently circle Gardnerian. Glad to be back in the Pagan community.
Good job getting the word out, even if you have to do it 3 times!
