Fort Worth Witches Meetup is a place for Witches and Pagans to find others like-minded people and share knowledge and friendship in a safe place and manner.
The first Fort Worth Witches Meetup was held Tuesday, August 27, 2002, at 8PM at Varsity Bowl in Denton, Texas. Three people attended. From there it shifted around from the Coffee Hause in Arlington to Chili's then Gater Bayou in Euless, Art of Espresso in Fort Worth, Joe T. Garcias and Spiral Diner & Bakery. Usually only about 4 members attended if any at all.
March 23, 2004, Even though he was a brand new member Cliff decided to step in as host since there wasn't one at that point and made the Four Star Coffee Bar the meeting place. 8 members attended the Ostara meeting which went quite well. The April meeting saw 11 members, then 12 in May and 15 in June up to 16 in August.

FORT WORTH WITCHES MEETUP FAQ
1 - I am new to this, can I join?
Anyone can join. It doesn't matter how much or little you know about the craft or the community, all that we ask is that you remember to be courteous of others.
2 - Why is everybody talking, where are the spellbooks?
This is a place to learn and discuss. Unless the presentation is about Grimoires/ Book of Shadows there will be no spell books. We can guide you to teachers, circles and covens.
3 - Does it cost anything?
We do ask for and take donations to cover the $14.99 fee that Meetup charges the group every month..
4 - Can I join if I am not a Witch?
Yes, of course, as long as you are open minded and do not come for confrontational purposes we welcome everyone interested in the various aspects of the craft. We have had Buddhists, Native Americans, Eclectic Witches, Coven Witches, Shamans and Druids.
5 - Can I bring a friend?
Yes, please do, as long as they follow the above rules of being open minded and courteous.
6 - Do I have to RSVP?
Yes, please, it helps us figure out how many to expect.
7 - If I RSVP and don't show what happens?
We miss you. I totally understand last minute interuptions, whether it is unforeseen car problem, family responsibility, conflicting engagements or just don't feel like it. Remember you can change your RSVP if you know in time too.
8 - Can I just lurk and not do anything?
Yes and no. I do need you to sign in once every 3 months to keep you active. If you have not signed in and looked around in 12 months I will be forced to delete you ... after a warning.
8 - Are Children Allowed?
This is a sticky subject. If they are your children and have your permission to be there and you watch them and they are not disruptive, Yes we welcome them. If your child is disruptive we would expect you to assert some control or politely take your child and leave or at least move a distance that might not be disruptive. Sometimes discussions may include more adult themes so please be aware of that.
10 - Will there be people there to date/Have sex with
If this is what you are coming for, please keep looking elsewhere.
11 - Can we meet somewhere else?
There are always lots of social events which we will inform you about. There are local Covens and circles and classes.
12 - Can I have ________ e-mail address/phone number?
No. If you want someone's contact number you can give us yours and we will contact the party in question. Or you can exchange information in person on Break or after a meeting. But I will NOT give you a contact number unless I have permission from that person.
13 - Where do other pagan/witches meet?
We can give you that info at the meetings or you can email for specific information.
