Details

This is a 2-night class--Monday 9/29 and Tuesday 9/30, 7-10pm.

In this 2-night class we will cover essential table saw techniques and safety while doing a fun project: art framing. As you learn the basics of cross-cutting and ripping wood, you will also build a picture frame with keyed miter joinery.

What will be covered:

  • Presentation and discussion on table saw capabilities, techniques and safety. Q&A.

  • Hands-on demo. Each person will learn essential table saw techniques such as how to safely rip and cross-cut using the rip fence and miter jig; how to avoid dangerous kick-back; adjusting blade height and tilt and how to change blades.

  • Project time. Learn how to make keyed miter corners and rabbet edges on the table saw while building your frame.

Fee is $90 + $35 materials fee. Includes all materials and safety equipment.

Class size is limited to 4 people.
