WordPress Pasadena (Advanced Topics Edition) @ The Apple Store
Details
Hello WordPressors,
We're going to be running our second Advanced Topics meetup and it's hosted at the Apple Store for July, folks. It's gonna be a treat and two halves!
< What's it about? >
We're definitely talking about WordPress, but we're digging deeper this time around. I don't have an agenda just yet. But we'll be discussing developer-specific topics and taking deeper dives into other topics such as dev best practices, security, etc.
< About Apple Store >
You've probably owned and loved their products. The Pasadena location is one of a handful of Apple stores with a conference room, featuring various tech and monitors for presentations and more. We're lucky to host our event for free. Thanks, Apple!
< NOTE >
Space at the Apple store is limited. Please don't RSVP if you are unsure if you can attend. If you do RSVP please be considerate and update your status if you cannot attend so that someone else might.
< / NOTE >
< Who's it for? >
Anyone is welcome to attend. The topics will be of a more advanced variety. It is important that you feel comfortable participating and adding your own questions and thoughts to the discussion. I imagine people who build WordPress websites for clients, or as part of their day job will want to attend this sort of thing.
< What this meetup doesn't cover >
Topics covered will be of a technical variety. Marketing, blogging, SEO, and other non-dev related topics are not covered at this meetup. You'd want to attend our more general meetup for that sort of discussion.
** This is less ideal for beginning users as we will not be adjusting the meetup for new users of WordPress. **
< Format >
I dunno. We're experimenting. If you've attended other PasWP meetups, you know we run a round table type discussion. This meetup will incorporate some of that, but it will also feature speaker-led topics, too. Also, this is a good time to share your projects with folks, get feedback on how to go about achieving a certain type of functionality. Like I said, it's open. It should be fun so come on out.
