At this April's Meetup, Dave Greenberg and Donald Lobo from CiviCRM are coming to speak to us about CiviCRM + WordPress.

The CiviCRM team has for the last year been working on integrating their open source CRM solution with WordPress. There's a ton to be learned from their experience:

Are you a techie interested in how other apps can integrate with WordPress? CiviCRM will talk about some of the details of how they did a WordPress + CiviCRM application integration -- lessons learned, technical tips, tricks and gotchyas, how they used the WordPress API, etc. Are you less-techie, but interested in doing CRM inside WordPress? Great! CiviCRM will show you how CiviCRM and WordPress play nice-nice together. So if you're relatively technical and interested in general WordPress + XYZ integrations, this will be an excellent case study to learn from. If you're less technical and more customer focused, this will be a great way to learn about an integrated WordPress platform that does constituent tracking, fund-raising, memberships, event registration and more.

After an initial CiviCRM presentation we'll probably break into two groups -- one focused more on the "user" side of CiviCRM + WordPress, and one focused more on the technical side of how CiviCRM integrated their app with WordPress.

If you'd like to learn more about CiviCRM and/or demo CiviCRM + WordPress before the Meetup, please check out these links:
