A single div: a learning experiment

Building something that already exists is a great way to gain new skills and refine old skills. When I attempted to recreate Lynn Fisher’s Single Div project last year, I learned two things: 1) having a solid foundation of the basics is invaluable and 2) it’s totally fine if you have to look something up.

Outgoing on Command

Learning to be comfortable speaking in public, in both formal and informal settings, is an important life and professional skill. You can be “outgoing on command,” especially with support from the WordPress community.

Liam Dempsey has worked by himself from home since 2005. Working alone, outside of the company of others, Liam isn't eager to join a co-working space. Yet, he started a WordPress Meetup and organizes WordCamps. He regularly gives professional talks on WordPress and online marketing. Liam is the Director + Designer at LBDesign (http://lbdesign.tv/), an online marketing and design agency.
