WordPress as an Organizational Tool

WordPress isn't just about publishing. Today countless teams are using WordPress to drive collaboration and facilitate inter-team communication. Ben Balter will showcase some of the creative ways companies and organizations are using WordPress as the central hub of their day-to-day workflow: To organize and collaboratively edit documents and other non-web content, track and communicate their team's progress with one another, and extend WordPress to work with their existing tools and practices.

Also at this meetup, there will be a preview of some of the new features of WordPress 3.4, due out in the next month.

More about our speaker:

Ben is a DC-based WordPress developer who loves disrupting old workflows with new technology. After spending last summer building a SharePoint-like document collaboration solution on top of WordPress, he served as part of the White House's Software Automation and Technology (SWAT) Team — digitizing existing paper-based business processes — and now is part of the US Chief Information Officer's Team, working to modernize the way federal government tackles mission.
