Are you a part of the WordPress community? I started this meetup with all of us Tokyo-based WordPress fans in mind, whether we use or design or develop for the platform. I figured there have to be other folks in the English-speaking community here who'd like to gather and talk about all things WordPress.

Since there are lots of good tutorials on WordPress.tv, we could choose one for each meetup so we get some structured learning done. Of course, we can discuss the vast variety of WordPress-flavored topics: themes, styles, WordPress.com, plugins, widgets, and more...And with the release of 3.0, the possibly burgeoning fight over the GPL (the open software license that WordPress is baesd on), and the growing global community, there's a lot happening. Once we get started, let's talk about what will be most useful and fun for folks.

We'd have access to Tokyo Hacker Space (Shiroganedai) for meetings. I'd like to see if folks are interested, then we can talk about setting up a first meeting when schedules coincide.
