Word Weavers of West Michigan meet the first and third Tuesday of every month. Our primary goal is to provide encouragement, accountability, education, inspiration & support for current and aspiring Christian writers and speakers.  Our secondary goal, as communicators are raised up and equipped, is to give testimony to our King and influence culture in the direction of Christ - one word at a time.

We have added dues for 2010. But don't let the idea of paying or not paying dues hinder you from coming. No one is expected to pay dues in order to walk through the door. Here are our guidelines:

 

1) Do you feel that the group is providing valuable support and fellowship for your effort as a writer?

2) Do you feel that you are become a part of the group, that this is "your" writer's group?

3) Do you want to invest in your success as a writer by investing in the group?

When you are comfortable answering "Yes" to these three questions, then I ask that you contribute financially to the groups future by paying the $40.00 annual dues.  Due paying members can participate in the meetings' critique sessions.

Currently we are experiencing wonderful, fruit filled growth.  Jesus said that the Father's will is that we bear fruit and that our fruit remains.  I believe we are seeing this part of God will being fulfilled in our midst.  Consequently, we have adopted a unique meeting structure. 

Once every 2 month, on the first Tues of Jan, March, May, July, Sept and November we have a large group meeting.  We schedule experienced writers, editors and other professionals to attend these meeings, and give a 30 to 45 minute seminar on their are of expertise. On the other first and third tues of every month, we meet in regional small groups. The small groups allow members to stay connected, and to participate in personal critique sessions.  I think I speak for most of our members when I say I've grown the most as a writer due to the constructive advice I receive during these regular critique sessions.  Do you have a message, a book, or an idea buried in your heart?  Join Us!!
