however, typing Tales of the Dragon WashingtonTimes.com would also get you there.

Guys & gals. The powers that be at Washington Times decided my column title - The Chinese Slant was too politically incorrect. It is now the Tales of the Dragon at WashingtonTimes.com. Please do visit and comment.

Mount Olympus has spoken so I either comply or else. Besides, it provided free adveretisement for my first book "Tales of the Dragon - The Book of Lore." I would say I came out ahead on the deal. However, The Chinese Slant is the title of my next book.

William, really? And "Tales of the Dragon" raises no flags? I preferred the self-knowing wink-and-nod of your original title.

This could be just what I need. As an ancient, if I don't begin to get published, my stuff will all suffer from computer file decay--and we all know what that means.

I'm glad to see the session is is also about "promoting the author" -- probably tougher than promoting a specific piece like a novel.

Question: Will the discussion cover poetry as well as short stories, novels or other writing in terms of marketing oneself and one's work?

Attended a similar workshop at the Writers Center a few years ago. Concentration was on non-fiction books and articles. I'll see if I can find my notes, although most of the refernces my be outdated. Any other WC members in this group?
