The Central Library in Arlington is near a Metro Stop -- it has nice meeting room facilities, but we'd have to get special permission for a weekly meeting.
?
We could check with Arlington County Parks and Recreation, too... I just haven't had a chance to call them yet.

We knew this day might come, but now it is official. Renovations at the Clarendon Barnes & Noble will take away all currently unused space at the store. Which means there will be no meeting space for us (or anyone else).

Our store contact tried to wrangle us some space in another area of the store, but there just won'd be any way to make it work, at least not in the short term.

So...we're looking for a new home - for the summer at least.

If you have any ideas, please post them here and we'll look into them. We're trying to find space that is Metro accessible and free.

We could end up returning to a coffee shop environment where attendees are silently expected to buy a drink or snack, and that would be fine, but to go to a full service restaurant may be impractical.

July 7th will be our 183rd and final meeting at B&N - let's hear those creative ideas about a new home!

MK
