Continuing our march toward National Writer's month. Chris D. is going to facilitate us through a Plot analyzation technique that she learned. She has a short story that she's analyzed so we can see how the technique works. I would suggest if you have one of your own stories or plots that you would like to work on... bring it and follow along.
This is an opportunity for you to come to this meeting and talk about what ever you need to progress in your writing. Examples of agenda items: 1. Do you need a safe forum to write, need a creative writing prompt or exercise? We will have one available during each session. 2. Pick any one of the worksheets from the FILES section of the website (writing, editing or selling) and work on them, discuss your results, and ask questions. These were topics during last year's monthly meetings. 3. Are you stuck, need advice, need a help group? Come with your questions, situation, etc covering anything from Markets/agents to different genres to editing / writing. 4. Do you have a scene, character, story topic that needs help, needs a bit of brainstorming, needs a sanity check? 5. Do you have something to share that you feel will be beneficial for the group? (please no sales pitches, this is a sales free zone). 6. Critique's will be accepted, as long as there are no other agenda items. In a nutshell, these weekly sessions are for what ever you need them to be. You are welcome to post problems or agenda items ahead of time, or just show up and listen and learn. Thanks everyone, see you at the meeting. Anita
