Sharon's Garden Sharing (prep meeting)

Great kick off for the Gardening season. Others are invited to share their gardens as well...

Our first Garden Share project is ready, and here is some information:

Intro: Sharon, one of our Time Exchange community members, would like to start a garden share project in her garden near Fischer Hallman Rd & Thorndale Dr Waterloo, ON

Details:

• one or two members and one adviser, preferably who live in the nearby neighbourhood, and may not have the land to grow, come together to design, plan and prepare the yard for the upcoming gardening season

• members could develop their own plots in Sharon's yard. Produce and labour may be shared as well.

• Sharon can do most of the work, but needs help with digging and heavy lifting. She could also use help in design and setup of new beds, and installation of water barrels.

Venue:

• The address is in Waterloo near the corner of Fischer Hallman Rd & Thorndale Dr. and will be given to members just one day before the meeting.

• The prep meeting will take place at Sharon's house to have a look at the space and plan how we would design and develop the gardens together.

Note:

Sharon has got some vegetable garden space now, but a lot of the site is in grass that can to be redesigned and developed.

It's late in the season to do much work now, but we could put plans in place for the spring, although if someone is really keen I suppose they could prep some beds now.
