Adaptive UI for iOS applications - Xcoders Redmond Meeting

Details

This week Tim Brooks (from Disney) will speak about getting started with Adaptive UI for iOS applications. This will be our second talk on an iOS8 related topic. See below for a summary from Tim

-----------------------

Description:Lets’ face it, interface design and development on iOS (and Mac) can be challenging. There are many considerations when designing and building an interface that can take advantage of screen real estate, pixel density and device orientation, to name a few. And if you’re still not using Auto Layout and / or Interface Builder for your interfaces, the impending introduction of new devices, screen sizes and aspect ratios is about to make your life as a developer ‘interesting’.

Come see how upcoming Xcode 6 and iOS 8 capabilities, collectively described as ‘Adaptive UI’, can help you address both existing and soon-to-realized interface challenges.

Presenter:Tim Brooks is an iOS developer with the Walt Disney Company in Seattle.

-----------------------

The meeting starts at 7pm and it will be held in the first floor conference room 101 of Thinkspace in downtown Redmond ( http://thinkspace.com/about/location/ )

Thinkspace is a 2-minute walk from the Redmond transit center. So if you’re coming over from downtown Seattle, you can take the bus (ST Express 545) to get here quickly.

Alternately, if you drive, parking is free.
