Six years in the app store: Lessons Learned (Redmond meeting)
Details
Our annual eastside "app store" business-oriented talk is on Thursday, September 25 and our speaker will be Michael Burford from http://www.headlightinc.com/. He'll talk about his pre-app-store indie-dev experience, learnings from selling apps in the app store, successes, failures, recent/challenging trends and other app store topics.
Here is a summary from Michael.
Michael Burford has been an independent software developer since 1997. His company was among the first in the App Store and has grown to having over 50 apps. Which these days doesn't always equal a lot of money. He'll be sharing stats & sales, successes & failures, and lessons learned from his 6 years in the App Store (and the 10 years before that from developing Windows shareware programs too.)
-----------------------
The meeting starts at 7pm and it will be held in the first floor conference room 101 of Thinkspace in downtown Redmond ( http://thinkspace.com/about/location/ )
Thinkspace is a 2-minute walk from the Redmond transit center. So if you’re coming over from downtown Seattle, you can take the bus (ST Express 545) to get here quickly.
Alternately, if you drive, parking is free.
