Zydeco and Whiskey River Jitterbug Dance Workshop this Friday night...

The Woodroom Performing Arts dance studio in North Park has a rare opening this Friday and said we could use it for a workshop for a couple hours from 8:00pm-10:00pm.

Workshop Covering:

Whiskey River Jitterbug - 8:00pm-9:00pm
Zydeco Intermediate - 9:00pm-10:00pm

Details:
The Whriskey River Jitterbug is a swing based dance that you can see in Louisiana Dance halls and festivals across the country. It turns are jitterbug based and the basic step is a easy to learn. It's often done to faster Zydeco or Cajun tempo tunes.
Zydeco that we will cover in the 2nd hour will cover slides and other unique styles that take a little practice to feel comfortable doing. These styles are seen in many of the video clips I show at Tio Leo's.

The swing moves we will learn in relation to the Whisky River Jitterbug also can be done in regular Zydeco...
