1. We'll discuss "Sea of Tranquility" by Emily ST. John Mandel. (275 pages long)
Below is a synopsisi of this book:
The book is a time-travel drama that explores the nature of reality, and the human experience across centuries and even space. The story starts from 1912 Canada, to 2203 pandemic-stricken Earth, and finally to a 2401 lunar colony.
2. Participants are asked to have either read the whole book or at least
one third of it before the the meetup.
3. We'll meet on June 15th. The meetup is to start at 14:00 jst.
4. The venue will be at a place called "Cafe Veloce Karasuma Takoyakushi" located close to Shijo Subway Station. Close to the Subway Station Shijo alongside Karasuma-dohri (Karasuma Street).
5. What to discuss: your general impression of the story, what part was difficult for you to understand, how you liked the story, and so on. Our discussion will, hopefully, entirely conducted in English.
