京都洋書読書会Meetup--Kyoto English Book Club Meetup

1. We'll discuss "Never Lie" by Freida MacFAADEN. (320 pages long)

Below is a synopsis of this book:

"It is a psycological thriller about a newlywed couple, Tricia and Ethan who get stranded at a remote, snowed-in estate they are planning to buy. The house once belonged to a famous psychiatrist who mysteriously disappeared three years ago." In short, it’s another truly gripping story by New York Times bestselling author.

2. Participants are asked to have either read the whole book or at least
one third of it before the the meetup.
3. We'll meet on November 15th. The participants are expected to show up a few minutes prior to the meetup, which is to start at 14:00 jst.
4. The venue will be at a place called "Cafe Veloce Karasuma Takoyakushi" located close to Shijo Subway Station, which is only two stops from Kyoto Subway Station. The cafe is alongside Karasuma-dohri (Karasuma Street).
5. What to discuss: our discussion will start off on discussion points(questions) related to the story, that are pre-prepared by the organizer. Then we will move on to your general impression of the story, what part was difficult for you to understand, how you liked the story, and so on. Our discussion will be entirely conducted in English.
