Hiking at Mt. Mitake and Mt. Hinode

Mitake-san (御岳山) is a 929-meter-high mountain in Ome City, Tokyo. It is also called Musashi Mitake-san. It has been an object of mountain worship since ancient times, and the Musashi Mitake Shrine has been built on the mountain. The mountain is part of the Natural National Park, where you can enjoy many beautiful forests and other natural features.

We will use the cable car to climb up to near the top of the mountain, and then head to Hinodeyama(日の出山,902-meter-high) , finally come down in the direction of Tsurutsuru Onsen.

Since this is a standard course using a cable car, even beginners can easily walk it. After descending the mountain, let's take a bath in the hot spring to unwind !

Tsuruturu Onsen bathing fee: 860 yen

Electronic transportation money (Suica, Pasmo) is accepted for all
bus, cable car and bathing fees.

■　Meeting time and place

9:05 a.m. in front of the Mitake Information Center right next to
JR.Mitake Station(JR.御嶽駅)
Please be careful not to be late as we are scheduled to take the 9:15
a.m. bus for the Cable car Station.

■　What to bring

・Lunch, drink
・Comfortable clothes and shoes for walking
Please wear hiking shoes, not sneakers. Also, don't forget to
bringrain gear and warm clothes in case of sudden
weatherchanges.

■　Notes
・Please wear a mask to prevent infection in places where many
people gather.
・In case of rain, the event will be cancelled. A confirmation email
will be sent to all participants by the evening of the day before the
event to confirm whether or not the event will be held.
・Please refrain from participating if you are sick or have a body
temperature over 37.5 degrees Celsius.
・If you wish to cancel your participation, please let me know by 7pm
the night before.
・The organizer is not as fluent in English as it is written here.
