Screening Event Information in English

A screening event of the documentary film “PADRE PROJECT” will be held at the barrier-free theater Cinema Cupuki Tabata in TOKYO. The film’s director will be present for a greeting. We warmly invite you to join us.

【Date】
Wednesday, February (4th and) 11th, 2026. Screening starts at 19:00

【Venue】
Cinema Cupuki Tabata 2-8―4Higashi Tabata, Kita-ward, TOKYO city.

5 minutes on foot from JR TABATA Station on JR YAMANOTE Line/ KEIHIN-TOHOKU Line.
Exit the North Gate, turn right, and walk straight for 5 minutes.

【Fee】
Ages 16 and over: 1000 yen
Ages 15 and under: 500 yen (Preschool child: Free Payment on the day.)
Cash Only. Please bring exact change if possible. All seats are unreserved.

◆ Please note if you are visually impaired or attending with children aged 15 or under.

A confirmation email will be sent once your reservation is completed.

※Personal information will be handled with strict confidentiality.
※ To avoid confusion, reservation must be made by DM or email. Clicking “Attend” on the Facebook event page does not count as a reservation.
※ Seating is limited to 20 people. Reservations may fill up quickly. Same day admissions may be available if seats remain.

Visually impaired people also enjoy the film with audio guide.

You can listen the sound of the film connecting to the jack in the seat.
The theater lends the audiences the earphones.

This film has English subtitles throughout and English speaking people can also enjoy.

【Story】
Former Japanese comedian, Go Takeuchi, born to a Japanese mother and a Cameroonian father, goes to Italy alone with little information in 2022, during the COVID-19 pandemic to search for his father with whom he was separated at 2 years old.
Finding his father in Milan, a city of 1.3 million people, within 10 days becomes not only a reckless challenge but also a journey to face his own roots.
Eventually, unexpected clues guide him forward…

【GO TAKEUCHI’s profile】
He was born in 1980 in NAGOYA city. He studied at a drama school
in New York city in his 20’s. After returning to Japan, he worked as a
comedian under the name “BLACK SAMURAI”. In 2023, his first
directed self-documentary film “ PADRE PROJECT” premiered at the Newark International Film Festival. Since then, the film has received many awards.
His fans also organize screening events of this film in various locations.
