We are pleased to announce a fully English-language course on Japanese Buddhism.
Would you like to study Japanese Buddhism—the foundation of Japanese culture—in a systematic way?
This course offers insights into the history and teachings of Japanese Buddhism that can deepen your understanding of daily life in Japan, temple visits, and various cultural experiences.
All classes are taught by university professors and specialist lecturers, providing academically reliable knowledge in a clear and accessible manner.

PART 1: Ancient Japanese Buddhism
(Session 1: Thursday, April 23 / Session 2: Thursday, May 14 / Session 3: Thursday, June 18)

PART 2: Medieval Japanese Buddhism
(Session 1: Thursday, July 16 / Session 2: Thursday, August 20 / Session 3: Thursday, September 24)

PART 3: Modern Japanese Buddhism
(Session 1: Thursday, October 29 / Session 2: Thursday, November 26 / Session 3: Thursday, December 17)

Through tracing historical developments, this course provides a comprehensive understanding of the thought and evolution of Buddhism in Japan.

本講座では、寺院巡り、文化体験をより深く理解するための知識となる日本仏教の歴史や教えを英語で提供いたします。

この講座を受講すれば海外の方に日本仏教について説明できる知識とボキャブラリーが身につきます。

講師は大学教授や講師が担当し、学術的に信頼できる知識を分かりやすくお伝えします。
