THE MEMORY OF WATER by Shelagh Stephenson (Bournemouth Little Theatre)
Details
This is the third Thursday Night Theatre event. It's a production of "The Memory of Water" at the Bournemouth Little Theatre.
This was Shelagh Stephenson's first play, opening in London in 1996, and was awarded the prestigious Olivier Award for Best Comedy. Three sisters meet on the eve of their mother's funeral; as the conflicts of the past converge, everyday lies and tensions reveal the particular patterns and strains of family relationships. Bournemouth Little Theatre is at 11 Jameson Road, Winton, BH9 2QD. Their website is here. If you haven't been before, please note that there's no car park but street parking is available in the evenings. It's above a garage and, sadly, there is no disabled access. There is a small bar tucked away at the back; pre-ordering interval drinks is a very good idea.
Tickets are available through the BLTClub website. If you're going, just buy your ticket and sign up to say you'll be there. Tickets are £14, concessions £12, members £8 (so membership is a good idea if you're going to be a regular visitor).
The theatre opens at 7pm and we'll meet in the bar from then onwards.
