Farley Heath and Albury Heath 5.5 miles with homemade raspberry cake
Details
We'd love to see you for a peaceful circular country walk through Farley Heath and Albury Heath. The walk is through cool woodlands, open pastures and heathland, taking in pretty farm cottages along the way.
We will pause for a midway cake break.
Newbies and regulars will be made to feel very welcome in this chatty, friendly group, as always.
Ascents and descents are mainly gradual with a couple of very short steep parts to negotiate.
There was no mud when I trialled this walk as underfoot was mostly sandy or dry woodland and quiet country tracks. There may be a few brambles so shorts may not be good.
Meeting at the free Farley Glade car park (Hurtwood Control No.15) approximate postcode GU5 9DN, or, better still, I highly recommend the What3Words app for a more accurate pinpoint, W3W demand.superhero.splat, for prompt 2pm start.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for countryside, hills and changeable weather, plus bring sun lotion if needed.
You'll need to bring sufficient water for hydration and/or flask of hot drink to accompany the homemade raspberry cakes.
We'll be expecting to finish the walk at around 4.30pm
Attendees are responsible for their own safety at all times.
Please pay in advance by PayPal, to reserve your place. As refunds cannot be given (unless in the unlikely event it's cancelled) a credit will be given against a future walk only if you let me know of your change of plans before the RSVP cut off 10am the day of the walk.
No dogs please
