The next Apartment Investors Club MeetUp is Tuesday May 22 @ 6:30p! Featuring a "RENT CONTROL PANEL" Discussing RSO and Destructive Rent Control Legislation. The goal of this panel is to update and educate Rental Housing Owners of current and impending Rent Control Legislation, discuss how it will impact them directly, and equip them with the tools and resources needed to put a stop to this legislation.

In 2016, Weir co-founded Better Housing for Long Beach, a grass roots nonprofit organization to educate both property owners and tenants on the dangers of government ordinances that will harm tenants, communities and housing providers. As a person who worked with 1000s of tenants, she saw a need to connect both groups. Special interest organizations attempt to divide both groups for their political agenda and in-turn push policies in communities that will harm both the housing provider and the renter. Weir saw a real need to keep positive conversations going between both renters and housing providers. She also saw a need to educate both in the unintended consequences of these policies and to expose the long term harmful affects. Weir’s mission is education, action and support in building healthy communities.
