Wild Life Hike (Zuid-Kennemerland National Park) - Episode 3

Details

Earlier this year, some of us enjoyed the surprising beauties of Zuid-Kennemerland National Park under a white blanket. This time, wild animals and vegetation will be draped with autumnal colors . Let’s capture them with our inspirational shots!

So pick up your camera, take warm and comfy clothes, let’s explore this park together and see what we can find.

We will meet at 11AM, at the Nationaal Park Zuid-Kennemerland on Sunday October 28th.
The meetup point will be the visitor’s center at the following adress
Tetterodeweg 27 2051 Overveen, (it is the entrance: De Zandwaaier).

There is a place for coffee up just next to the visitor’s center. I suggest we meet there in the warmth. When you arrive at the visitors center, finding the coffee shop is evident. Once you’re there, head for the table packed with cameras.

I have been to this park a couple of times already, Each time, it was a very agreeable surprise with variable landscape in a short distance, and wild animals and birds (last time we met sheeps, shettland poneys and Bisons!). Amazing to know there is this little nature paradise so close to home (Check out the website: http://www.np-zuidkennemerland.nl/documents/home.xml?lang=nl).

We will take a hiking route that starts from the parking. Probably the same as last time, but we will improvise some variation depending on what we encounter.

There are multiple options to go there. There is a bus stop next to the Bezorkercentrum (Bus 81), and a train station (Overveen) is at a walking distance. Additionally, there is a parking for car users: From the Bezoekerscentrum, it is the other side of the N200 road (Note it is a paying parking – There is a non-paying parking quite close, but can’t remember where)

For details: the best is that you check the relevant page on the website.

Be careful to consider the correct entrance (See maps below)

You can also download a brochure in English, French or German here:

I will be travelling by car. I can pick up to three people from Leiden Station. Let me know if you need a ride.

And finally, if the evening before, the weather forecast predicts horrid skies, I will send a cancelling note to everybody.

A Bientot
