## About this event

**What to Expect**
There's no better place to write than a gently haunted antique shop — especially on Saturday mornings, when our shop is quiet, bright, and blooming with the promise of a new day.
At the Haunted Antique Shop, you'll be surrounded by story ideas and inspiration in the form of timeless antiques and treasured family heirlooms — along with encouragement from fellow writers and the occasional friendly spirit.
The members of our "Ghost Writers" group write novels, short stories, and poetry. Some are published authors; some simply enjoy the writing process. All writers are welcome.
This is not a critique group, because we don't share large portions of our work or ask for feedback. We just write. We set a timer for 10 or 15 minutes at a stretch and dive in. It's amazing how much we can finish in a short time!
**All Writers Welcome**
When you join a writers group, you'll build your writing practice and develop your skills, with encouragement and support from fellow wordsmiths. All writers are welcome — even if you haven't picked up a pen since high school.
**Time**
Doors open at 9:30, and we start writing promptly at 10. We won't be able to welcome latecomers; if you're not on time, you'll find the door closed.
Uninterrupted writing time is a gift you deserve, so please allow yourself plenty of time to arrive, set up, and settle in before we begin.
**Supplies**
Bring your laptop or a notebook and whatever you like to drink.

We have cookies!
**Price**
Membership is free, but we appreciate contributions of $5-10 per meeting to help defray the cost of overhead.
**Location**
The Haunted Antique Shop is easy to find. It's centrally located at 612 West New York Avenue, which is the main east-west route through DeLand. We have plenty of free parking in front and in back.
**About the Organizer**
Corrine Kenner is an author, astrologer, certified tarot master, and owner of the Haunted Antique Shop. She's also a former newspaper reporter, magazine editor, and public relations specialist.
