"Portfolios & GitHub...what do?!" - Coding & Development Workshop

We're back once again for another edition of LevelUp! Notts. Exciting!!!

After an amazing first event, it's time for us to start really looking in to code, what kind of tools you should really be learning, and most importantly, how to create an amazing portfolio that will let potential employers look at all of your awesome projects. Who needs a CV?!

If you're a career changer and only have a very basic grasp of coding, don't worry - we'll be covering the basics first, and building up from there.

By the end of the session, we're hoping you'll walk away with all the information you need (as well as a boat load of resources) to build your very first live portfolio, as well as a fully functioning GitHub account to post all of your work and allow employers to see your progress as a developer.

If you already have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, we'll also be running a section on the more advanced elements so that you can really build something in style to show how awesome you are.

Whether you're focusing on Software Development or Web Development, this event will be super useful, and all you need to do is bring a laptop, get comfortable, and enjoy the evening with your LevelUp crew.

We will, obviously, be providing loads of pizza, cakes, and refreshments to keep you all going, and I'm super excited to see what we can create together.
