This is going to be so good, really looking forward to this collaboration with Paul Cullen, a DJ who will be playing the best tunes during our workshop and afterwards to keep us all dancing.
So, the Consensual Confidence piece - 6:30 to 8:30! This is both a workshop and social event where you can meet new friends, connect with partners and pals and be part of a caring consent focused community. The evening starts with a short fun workshop on boundaries, consent, and communication, then you choose how you would like to practice, enjoy, and explore platonic (non-sexual) and nurturing touch and communicative experiences with your fellow attendees. Think hugs, back rubs, spooning or connecting whilst listening or being listened to. How you choose to participate is up to you, including no touch at all!
This is a space to truly unwind, learn some new approaches to consensual connecting, have a enjoyable few hours connecting with some sound people. :)
Hi, I'm Gráinne Carr, I facilitate a variety of consent focused workshops and deliver talks and trainings to individuals, groups, and organisations. I’m a Wheel of Consent Facilitator and one of only two qualified facilitators in this type of non-sexual consensual touch inclusive workshop in Ireland.
At this event I will lead you and the other guests through an orientation where we’ll go over and agree to the simple rules that make the experience of connecting with others fun, safe, and easy. Then you’ll have plenty of time to relax, chat, practice creating consensual connection or just hang out with a lovely group of people.
People come to this event for lots of different reasons. Some people are already comfortable with touch and want to be in a place where boundaries are respected, so they can relax. Some aren’t even sure they want any touch at all but come to explore some communication skills. For some folk it's an opportunity to meet new people who are kind, sound and fun. Some are just curious to know what it is all about!
Benefits may include:
· an increased sense of well-being and belonging,
· a boost in compassion and playfulness,
· a decrease in blood pressure and afterwards, a better night's sleep.
Nurturing-consensual touch and communication is good for our physiological and emotional health, and we all benefit from quality connections with other people.
Who doesn't love an opportunity to hang out with other decent folk who all wish to support aid getting to the people of Palestine?

SCHEDULE: 6:20PM Registration begins. Note: doors close for Consensual Connecting Playshop at 6:35pm.
6:30PM Opening circle, communication, consent and boundaries discussion and exercises, followed by practice and consensual connection. Come along with friends or alone, everyone is friendly and welcoming. :)
8:30PM Ecstatic Dance event - everyone is encouraged to take your shoes off and dance!
