Webinar: Quantum Beyond Computing

Details

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Quantum information science and technology presents a new lens through which to view quantum mechanics. Just as the applications of quantum mechanics are wide-ranging, so are the applications of quantum information. However, quantum computing has eaten up most of the attention in the media. In this webinar, we’ll learn about other related fields in quantum information, specifically quantum communication, quantum metrology, and quantum sensors. We’ll discuss how they connect to quantum information science, current progress and breakthroughs, and where they might find application in the future.

WHEN:

June 11, 2020
11:45 AM - 1:15 PM EDT
