With the advancement in conversational intelligence, Deep learning, and Reinforcement learning, Artificial Intelligence has the potential to revolutionize the way we live and interact with our surroundings. AI for accessibility is taking leap into the realm of opportunities and changing people lives for better. Join us to discover some of the state of the art that is giving people the freedom, independence and manoeuvrability which we all take for granted. Session will include topics relates to customer experience, new techniques, approached in the area of AI for accessibility.

CELA team to provide an overview of the AI for good initiative and discuss other activities in the AI space that is empowering people from productivity to day-to-day lives.

19:00 - 19:15: AI for Good accessibility Cohort

Upstream health - supporting medical professionals to proactively monitor patients
We Walk - Smart cane helps visually impaired see obstacles
Immersive rehab - interactive physiotherapy programmes in virtual reality

Various demos will be provided by Accessibility Cohort companies and others

19:30 - 20:00: Self-driving AI wheelchair – Imperial, (Professor Aldo Faisal)

Professor Aldo to speak about the amazing work they are doing to improve mobility experience for paralyze people using self-driving, self-navigating wheelchair who can lead using their gaze.

20:00 - 20:30: Seeing AI Project - Microsoft (Saqib Shaikh)

Saqib will talk about how Seeing AI project has revolutionized visually impaired people to be more contextual aware. We will hear Saqib from first-hand experience.

20:30 – 21:00: AI for common Good - Soprasteria (Ben Gilbert)

What does common good in AI really means? From the Rousseau perspective it does a good job of saying how proportionally more resource can and should be given to certain people who need it more, but does this reflect the reality?
