DIY Augmented Reality - Part 2

Details

In Part 1 we talked about what augmented reality is and I showed attendees some basic code to read location, compass heading and the gyroscopes in the iPhone. In Part 2 we're going to take that code and build an augmented reality app that takes the camera feed and displays location, speed and course on an overlay. It's also going to show a target reticule on a chosen point of interest (World of Beers, maybe, or a BBQ restaurant) and move the reticule around as the user moves the phone and themselves around.

It's surprisingly easy to do all of this, and by the time the talk is over you'll have the code you need (with a full demo app) to build your own AR apps or use commercial SDKs with greater confidence.
