Details
In Milan and interested in #3DModeling (https://twitter.com/hashtag/3DModeling?src=hash)? Join Paul Sohi's (@fusePS (https://twitter.com/fusePS)) and Adam Nagy's (@AdamTheNagy (https://twitter.com/AdamTheNagy)) introduction to Forge (http://forge.autodesk.com), a new Autodesk initiative to build a connected ecosystem of software developers and innovators for the "Future of making things". Also Iohanna Nicenboim (@iohanna_ed) will present "Beyond Prototyping".
Hosted jointly with Khronos WebGL Milano

Fusion 360 workshop:
Fusion 360 (http://www.autodesk.co.uk/products/fusion-360/overview) is a powerful 3D modelling program that enables users to create complex models for multiple uses. The program also supports 3D printing, CNC milling, laser cutting, and much more. This is an introductory workshop and we will cover basic 3D modelling and briefly run through some other features.
Please make sure you have the program working before coming! Please bring a mouse/wacom tablet with you. You can get the student/educator license for the program for free at http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview.
Beyond Prototyping - Talk and Activity:
Iohanna Nicenboim (@iohanna_ed), interaction designer and researcher – and collaborator of The Good Home – will present “Beyond Prototyping”, a research project from the University of the Arts Berlin, exploring the possibilities of algorithmically defined products that can be easily manufactured using digital fabrication techniques.
Iohanna will show three case studies they have developed using small commercial studios and a series of product-service system, proposing a vision of service model that sits between atelier and mass production. After her talk, she will hold a short ideation activity to explore the embedding of personal information in 3D objects.
Forge workshop:
Forge (http://forge.autodesk.com) is a set of Autodesk Cloud Services, APIs and SDKs for developers to create the data, apps, experiences and services that power the future of making things.
We will host the workshops in our local office and take care of lunch and drinks at the end of the event. Limited to 30 persons.
