With Halloween right around the corner let’s celebrate the spooky season and read a horror classic that has stood the test of time.

“A darkly brilliant tale of modern deviltry that induces the reader to believe the unbelievable. I believed it and was altogether enthralled." --Truman Capote

Written in 1967, “Rosemary’s Baby” is the story of Rosemary Woodhouse, a young woman who moves with her husband Guy into the Bramford, a beautiful New York apartment building with a sinister reputation, populated by eccentric elderly residents. As Rosemary and Guy settle down and think about starting a family, it soon becomes clear that the Bramford’s reputation is justified and their friendly neighbours may not be what they seem.

I registered the book club with Schuler’s Books so they ordered a few 2023 edition paperbacks of “Rosemary’s Baby” which has an introduction by Chuck Palahniuk (“Fight Club” author who places the novel in a social and historical context). The books are now available at Schuler’s 28th Street location on their book club table and are eligible for a 20% discount.
