Let's get cracking!

Details

Ethics aside, many of us gets drawn into reverse-engineering by the motivation of tailoring closed source software to work in a manner that suits us. In previous talks we have focused on static analysis and static modding but sometimes there is a quicker and easier route - instrumentation and runtime-patching. One of our favourite open source tools for this is Frida.

In this talk we will show you how to use Frida to trace down and patch functionality in closed-source apps. The main target platform of our demos will be Android but Frida supports iOS and other platforms as well.
