1 Million Cups is a free, national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee.
Every Wednesday from 9-10a, one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors. The audience then offers helpful feedback and direction to the presenter(s). Join us for a free cup of PERC Coffee Roasters. Attend this week or apply to present!
Who shows up in the audience? The audience varies from week to week, but has consisted of former CEOs and founders, marketing specialists, designers, professors, students, trademark lawyers, patent lawyers, and other entrepreneurs. The audience is intentional and cares about helping businesses succeed and grow.
Who presents? Presenting startups can be in concept-phase, be in BETA, or be fully launched. Past presenters have been service and product businesses, techy and non-techy, and even event-based businesses. The average presenter has a startup that is less than three years old and is hoping to scale or they are starting a new branch or endeavor within their existing business.
