What we’re about
This mostly bluegrass jam for all levels of play. This music jam is for bluegrass players but we will let a country or folk song sneak in every once in a while. That's why we call it the "100% Mostly Bluegrass Jam". Please bring your stringed acoustic instrument (and some friends) to Paradox Brewing in Divide, Colorado, on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month for a traditional music jam circle. we will rotate around the circle, with each player having the opportunity to lead a song. The format is called a festival bluegrass jam. If you want to lead a song, please make sure you know it well enough to lead and sing the song. We will allow players to solo, called breaks, on the melody of the song. Bob Ucman will be leading the group. The jam is split into two groups.
The beginner group will start at 5pm and go to 6pm. This session will be oriented to beginner jam player and discuss etiquette, rules of a jam and practice leading and playing simple two and three chord songs.
The second advanced session will be for the seasoned jam musician and it will be a festival style jam with little sheet music and more advanced songs and players. Bring a friend to sit and listen and grab a beer. No drums, horns, pianos...just stringed instruments. If we have allot of players there is room to break our into a second group session for the more advanced group.

Advanced group: 6-8pm
No cost, but we will accept donations to cover the cost of running the jam and compensating the Paradox team.Paradox brewing has been gracious to host this event.
