Santa Paula Punchbowl, Waterfalls and Natural Waterslides!

Details
This is a SUPER-FUN, beautiful moderate hike to a gorgeous rock pool and waterfall, where we can swim, jump in, and, as if that wasn't fun enough, go down natural waterslides!
Spring is the perfect time to do this hike, because the water levels should be high, the pools should be clean, and the waterslides should be perfect. Sounds like a fun Spring Saturday to me!
THE PLAN
We will meet at the trailhead at 9:00 am, and leave. That's it. Can't get much simpler than that. :-D
Plan to arrive early, because the parking lot gets full, so you might have to park as far as 10 minutes away from the trailhead.
The hike is just over 3.5 miles each way, with about 1,000 feet elevation gain, so it should take us about 1.5 to 2 hours each way. If you guys know me, I'm all about fun and spontaneity. I don't want to plan the exact length of time to stay there, but it'll probably be between one and two hours. We'll have fun until we are done, and then head back.
We should be back at the trailhead at around 3-4pm. We'll probably be hungry after all that fun, so we can drive to Ojai and grab something to eat. Pizza sounds good right about now!
BRING
- Swimsuit
- Water shoes. I don't remember if we get wet when climbing the rocks to get to the waterslide, so it's probably a good idea to bring shoes that are good for hiking, but can also get wet. I'm wearing my hiking boots or shoes, but will also bring some Tevas.
- Water. At least two liters.
- Snacks, etc.
- Readiness to have A LOT of fun! :-)
DISCLAIMER
Some websites say the hike is moderate, and some say it's moderately hard. I was there a long time ago, so I don't remember, but it mustn't have been very hard, otherwise I would remember it. Having said that, I don't recommend that you come if you are not in at least pretty good hiking shape. We have an easy hike this Saturday to Mt. Hollywood. If you haven't hiked in a while, and are unsure how you are going to handle it, you should come this weekend to see how you feel.
All right! See you guys there!
Eduardo.
