Join our Manhattan Partners and our 4 panelists for our first part of our Diversity and Inclusion Series on the 13th of August from 12-1pm. This is a virtual event
We will be exploring 3 areas : Diversity, Inclusion and Best Practice. This event is for everyone. If you want to learn more about the imposter syndrome, neurodiversity and tangible practices businesses can put in place to create an inclusive workplace, join us on the 13th.

Helen Bett, IT Service Director at Manchester Airport Group :
Holding a French literature degree Helen fell into a role in IT almost by accident. She was a translator for an organisation when she was asked to join the IT department to help with the service desk. From this point she never looked back. She is a firm advocate of customer service, getting things right first time and making time for her team.
Having spent the last 6 years at Manchester Airport group as a service director and lately as the group resilience lead during the Covid-19 pandemic she is used to a fast paced and 24/7 work environment.
Salma-Alam Naylor, Software Development Lead at Code Computer Love:
Salma is a Leader, Engineer, Human Being and Activist. As a professional musician, qualified music teacher and musical comedian in a past life, she uses her diverse experience in working with groups of people of all ages to bring tech teams together, empower them, and nurture their organic growth.
From previous tech leadership roles at a range of start-ups and global eCommerce companies, Salma joined Code Computerlove in 2019 as their first Front End Specialist Software Development Lead, with a bold mission to empower every single person at the heart of the technology discipline to deliver brilliant digital products and experiences.”
Beckie Taylor, CEO at Tech Returners and Organiser of Women in Technology North
Tech Returners CEO and Co-Founder, Beckie is an executive coach with over 18 years of HR and people development experience. She has a focus on talent, management, team effectiveness, building a diverse workforce and flexible working. Beckie is a Co-Founder of WIT North and has been voted one of the Top 30 Women in Tech for Greater Manchester 2018 and named one of Computer Weeklys Most Influential Women in Tech 2019.
Emma Hopkinson-Spark, Chief of Staff at 101 Ways
Emma has been a director at 101 Ways since they first began growing in 2015. She is an award winning agile professional, with around 20 years experience in development, delivery, consulting, training and coaching; and broad industry experience across public and private sectors
Emma has also been involved with a number of the tech community’s industry bodies and organisations, helping to further develop and improve professional standards. She worked with the Scrum Alliance to develop certification standards and examinations for the Certified Scrum Professional programme and served on their European Gathering Team developing the program and hosting the Global Scrum Gatherings in Europe.
We will be following up with the event with a short survey to attendees, to understand perceptions and experiences of diversity and inclusion in your workplace. If you can take 10 minutes to fill it in, this will be real data we can use and analyse and bring a report out on. You will also be invited into a linked in group to build this strong network of like-minded people moving towards one common goal : creating diverse and inclusive workplaces.
