AWS Community Day | Dublin 2019

Hi,

A quick heads up about the upcoming AWS Community Day in Dublin on 1st October.

Alexa and related AWS voice technologies will be a centrepiece of this event with industry leading talks and panel discussions planned for the day.

The venue is Dublin Castle and the expected attendance is 500.

So this is what we're planning....

TALKS

• David Isbitski, Global Evangelist, Alexa will give a keynote style talk on what's new with Alexa and the strides being made in AI and where conversational AI is going now.
• Bryan Chasko, CTO of Electronic Caregiver and AWS Community Hero, will give a talk on IoT and how medical alert and safety devices are harnessing AI and the AWS Cloud to deliver superior healthcare to patients, particularly the elderly.

WORKSHOPS

• German Viscuso, Alexa Evangelist will give a hands-on workshop with attendees learning how to build skills using the Alexa Presentation Language (APL). German will also cover In Skill Purchasing and building skills that integrate with Amazon Pay.
• Alan Kiernan, CTO of Cation Dynamics will run a hands-on workshop in Conversational AI. Starting from scratch, this workshop will cover the steps required in building an Enterprise ready chatbot. Alan's products are playing a key role in automating customer contact and optimising other communications touch points for large enterprises, handling millions of conversations monthly.

MENTOR DESK
All speakers will be available to assist directly with related queries through a Mentor desk which will operate in the Expo Hall throughout the day.
