Scala Manchester - Delivering Media Streaming at Scale

We're delighted to confirm our next, and likely last Scala Manchester User Group of 2019, and we're finishing up with a big one.

Following on from the launch of Disney+ in North America, we will be hearing from some of the Disney Streaming Services team in Manchester that has built this soon to be globally available streaming platform, and what it's taken to build it.

Here is an architectural overview of the Shiny new Disney+ product and how we are using this to serve some of the world's most beloved characters and brands to consumers across the world. We'll be talking about our use of Scala (amongst other programming languages) as well other technologies that have been used to build this platform.
